In today’s U.S. business environment only 14.6 percent of executive officers, 8.1 percent of top earners, and 4.6 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs are women even though they hold almost 52 percent of all professional-level jobs. It’s no secret that there is a gap in women’s leadership in the U.S.

Join us for a discussion with some of the most dynamic female communications leaders in the Twin Cities to explore how to close the leadership gap, why dynamic female leaders are essential, how to quiet your inner critic and how they find balance in their very demanding worlds.

Featured speakers include:

  • Lynn Casey – Lynn is the Chair and CEO of Padilla. Lynn leads more than 200 employee owners in Minneapolis; New York; Richmond, Virginia; Los Angeles and Washington D.C. She has helped transform the 100 percent employee-owned agency into a full-fledged integrated communications company with roots in public relations. Lynn also chairs Greater Twin Cities United Way Board of Directors, and serves as Secretary of the University of Minnesota Foundation.
  • Sara Gavin - Sara Gavin is president of Weber Shandwick North America, responsible for the firm’s 23 offices within that region, focused on marshaling the firm’s talent and resources on behalf of clients to deliver indispensable service and results. Sara has represented Cargill, The Coca-Cola Company, Land O’Lakes, the U.S. Army, the dairy industry, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, and a range of clients in the health care industry. Sara is also on the board of directors of Securian Corporation where she serves on the Governance and Human Resources committees. She currently serves on the board of College Possible where she leads the Human Capital Committee.
  • Lisa Hannum - Lisa is CEO of Beehive Strategic Communication, a certified woman-owned business that has been nationally recognized for its inspiring workplace culture, brilliant team and its strategic and creative work. She is a purpose-driven leader who believes in the power of communication to build better businesses for a better world. She has represented more than 100 brands over her 30-year career.
  • Jill Renslow – panel moderator – Jill is SVP of Business Development at the Mall of America. At the world's #1 entertainment and shopping destination, Jill oversees all aspects of communications, marketing, strategic alliances and partnerships, advertising, digital media, group sales, theme park, and theatre marketing. She is responsible for working with new and existing tenants to create unique experiences and drive sales and traffic.
